Sandra Gamarra (b. 1972, Lima, Peru) is an artist whose practice examines systems of representation, historical narration and institutional display through painting and image reconstruction.

Working across painting, installation and archival research, she draws from museum collections, colonial imagery and art historical references. Her practice is characterised by layering, reframing and spatial displacement.

Gamarra has exhibited internationally, including presentations at the Venice Biennale; Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI), Lima; Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; and institutions and galleries across Latin America, Europe and the United States.
