Roberto Huarcaya (b. 1959, Lima, Peru) is an artist whose practice investigates landscape, ecology and the material possibilities of photography through processes of direct exposure, experimentation and environmental engagement.

Working across photography, installation and site-responsive projects, he employs both traditional and expanded photographic techniques to record natural environments. His practice creates works through direct contact with vegetation, terrain and atmospheric conditions, emphasising relationships between photography, process and landscape.

Huarcaya has exhibited internationally, including presentations at the Venice Biennale; Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI), Lima; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and institutions and galleries across Latin America, Europe and the United States.
