Fragmented systems held in alignment
Overview
Elena Damiani (b. 1979, Lima, Peru) is an artist whose practice engages with processes of extraction, transformation, and reconfiguration of material and image.
Working across sculpture, installation and collage, she draws from geological formations, archival sources and systems of classification. Her practice translates these references into constructed forms that emphasise repetition, fragmentation and alignment.
Damiani has exhibited internationally, including presentations at Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), Mexico City; Museo Amparo, Puebla; and other institutions and galleries across Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
